Disilgold Publishing presents HOLLER: Heather On Literary Lives of Excellence Revisited: The Poetry Anthology of a Decade Project Compiled by Heather Covington, Author of Literary Divas, a NAACP Image Award Nominee!

THE HOLLER ANTHOLOGY! began its’ reign in 2003 with international entries from poets all around the world, and became popularized with the inception of Heather Covington’s PerSOULnalities Poetry Bash Online Contest powered by DisilgoldSOUL Magazine e-PressReleaseBlaster Newswire. While the popular newswire has taken on an abridged version accompanied with the e-Literary Dish Syndicate due to Disilgold Publisher’s busy projects, many requests for the return of one of the most exciting poetry contests poured in and thus far, the contest is available once again via Gold membership registration to the YOUnity Reviewers Guild of America. Already, poets are sending letters of support for the contest’s comeback.

From thousands of entries, only 25 top winners were selected with judging by Omar Tyree, NAACP Image Award Winner and New York Times Bestseller. Cynthia Highsmith Hooks poem was selected the first year and Pam Osbey who has since then, earned an award from the Gwendlyn Brooks Estate as announced at the 1st live YOUnity Guild Awards.

Heather Covington decided to scout for 25 new winners every year as nominees for the Poetry of the Year Award. She hopes to acquire the top 100 in time for the books scheduled release in 2009. ” I wanted this anthology to cover a span of 10 years and leave it’s mark as a work reflecting the first “decadium” of the millennium. I have been reading more poetical works and this is going to be a tough contest this year that I will let the people decide! The winners are expected to receive the kind of publicity money can’t buy and be heralded as the true reigning poets of this era.” says Heather Covington.
